Advancing sports medicine through the design, mechanical testing, cadaveric simulation, and product development of orthopedic suture anchors and their associated instrumentation. Brainstormed on the concept and initial design of future product generation for the $70 million product line having multiple invention disclosures, two of which were filed as provisional patents.

A student design team developed an improved pressure-ulcer-prevention pad and tracking system for ICU patients and other at-risk patients in and out of a hospital setting after interviewing healthcare providers to determine needs.

Conducted testing, design, and prototyping on two potential medical devices for increasing the yield and consistency of a multi-million-dollar product. Performed physical and SolidWorks prototyping and redesign as well as tissue processing, experimentation, and measuring.

Assisted in the development of a large-scale safety interlock and high-voltage system to properly protect and maintain graduate student experimentation of an instantaneous CT scanner enclosure.

Research Assistant conducting microfluidic research on 3D artificially created lumen structures to see how they react to other environmental factors. Used patient cells to create the lumen in sterile environments and document the processes and reactions to other natural or artificial factors. Conducted microfluidic device design and fabrication through multiple softwares and fabrication techniques, including SolidWorks, Adobe Illustrator, SprutCam, G-code, photolithography, micro stamping, micro milling, 3D printing, and micro molding.
