Pharmacists around the country were the backbone to the pandemic response and recovery. 4 out of 5 Australians know that they can turn to their local community pharmacist for a wide range of health services. To celebrate our pharmacists on World Pharmacy Day, we ran a digital media campaign to raise community awareness of their contribution and scope of practise. Over 1.2 million Australians learned and reflected on the role of pharmacies in delivering key health services. This not only included administering vaccinations and dispensing medication but also blood glucose testing, asthma management and blood pressure monitoring to list a few. From idea inception to content production, implementation and reporting I played a part in telling the story of the millions of Australians that choose their pharmacy first for their healthcare needs.#AskYourPharmacist

The Australian Healthcare Index provides a biannual national pulse-check on the experiences of patients and the healthcare system. The June 2022 report found that patients top-three biggest concerns were private health insurance costs, emergency department wait times, and access to mental healthcare. Alongside a small media PR team, over 6 million Australians tuned in to the report across broadcast, print, online and radio.

In this role I played a part of a media PR and stakeholder relationships team. To raise awareness about the rising cost of PBS medicines, when the cost of living was rising, ahead of the 2022 Federal election. 14 billion Australians heard, read and watched stories, with over 2.4 thousand media clips played across the nation. The government listened. Both major parties committed to lowering the price of PBS medicines. A win for over 15 million Australians.

Whilst interning I was responsible for the coordination and implementation of a social media strategy to spread awareness and increase engagement for Ned Mannoun's 2021 run for Liverpool Mayor - 'Bring Back Ned.' Successfully increasing his name awareness to a reach of over 50k and expanded Ned's social media presence that translated into his election as Mayor.
