Research and healthcare professional with over 10 years of clinical operations, management, and project development experience. Driven by a 3-year Peace Corps service in rural Zambia, I believe in community engagement and a grassroots approach to project development and implementation. Apart from the family I made there, my work abroad created economic opportunities for women, improved access to high-quality healthcare and family planning in rural communities, and introduced innovative technology and pedagogy to under-served schools.Now, as a Clinical Operations Manager at a top 10 cancer center, I still utilize the skills I learned in the Peace Corps to lead a team of researchers into the clinic in search of novel, evidence-based treatment. Our work launching complex phase I-IV clinical trials has translated into life-changing therapy for patients and academic merit for our institution.My goal is to improve healthcare experiences for all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, or class. Whether that is by improving access to essential medications, creating livelihood opportunities to afford basic healthcare, or utilizing technology to find safer and more effective medication, I will continue this pursuit.
