Ben Just, PT, MPT is an Instructor of Clinical Education in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at the University of Cincinnati and previously held the position of Clinical Lead for Cardiovascular Services at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education with a focus in Instructional Design and Technology at the University of Cincinnati. Ben has also worked as a traveling physical therapist in a variety of practice settings across the country. Ben is a member of the Ohio Physical Therapy Association, the American Physical Therapy Association, and the Sternectomy Support Group. At the University of Cincinnati, Ben has developed numerous courses with an emphasis on intrinsically motivating students using practical application of knowledge and a patient centered care model. Courses that Ben has developed in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program include Differential Diagnosis, Patient Care Management in Acute Care, and Introduction to Interventions. Ben is able to use his diverse experience in order to merge the clinical and the classroom settings to better prepare students for the rigors of both. Ben is a regional speaker, providing post-graduate education for physicians and other health care professionals on topics ranging from Differential Diagnosis in the Primary Care Setting to Physical Assessment for Physicians. Ben is frequently invited to participate in curriculum development as an Interdisciplinary Faculty member at the College of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati.
