Responsible for the servicing and maintenance of the mobile fleet utilising Caterpillar SIS and Electronic Technician. Working on Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hyundai mining equipment and Mack, Acco road trucks.Operating at the work front to bring critical production machinery online with minimal delays. Maintaining equipment to agreed standards. Identify and source parts.

Underground raise bore drilling contract. Responsible for daily operation and incidental maintenance of Atlas Copco raise bore drills Repairs to charge pumps, hoses, chuck changes and electrical faults (corrosion, solenoid replacement). Rigging up and packing down of drills for site moves. Clearing new sites of base material and constructing concrete work pads. Review and understand hole plans. Produce bores drilled to client specification in the underground mining environment…(job described as maintenance role; it wasn’t)

Responsible for the servicing and maintenance of the Defence mobile fleet in South Australia utilising Daimler STAR and MILIS. Maintain and repair electrical and air-conditioning systems. Working on Mack, Mercedes, MAN, Landrover, Caterpillar, John Deere, JCB and Light Armoured Vehicles.

Responsible for the servicing and maintenance of the Ertech and subcontracted mobile fleet whilst in Civil, Mining and Greenfields developments, utilising Caterpillar tools SIS and Electronic Technician. Working on Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu and Hitachi mining and construction equipment and Toyota 4WD vehicles. Field maintenance, working from a mobile service vehicle, attending to breakdown call-outs as required. Maintain and repair electrical and air-conditioning systems. Operating in-pit or at the work front to bring critical production machinery online with minimal delays.Assessing fleet operational performance and maintaining them to agreed standards. Conduct testing and adjusting of engines, transmissions and hydraulic systems. Liaise with hire equipment companies to determine service and maintenance schedules for a range of mobile plant. Foster and maintain relationships with suppliers. Supervise the work schedule of the mechanics (when in leading hand or supervisor roles). Mentor and identify training requirements. Maintain rosters, registers and reporting schedules. Identify and source parts.

Maintain site mobile fleet as required. When not actively required for mobile fleet maintenance, work within a multi-trade group to construct ore lift infrastructure both above and below ground using lifting equipment, working from elevated work platforms and scaffolding. Interpret technical drawings, fabricate and modify structural components utilising a wide range of hand tools, power tools, cutting and welding equipment.

Maintain and service Client surface and underground heavy mining equipment. Repair electrical and air-conditioning systems. Foster and maintain relationships with other contractors whilst on labour hire. Service and maintain Client equipment including; Caterpillar and Komatsu mining and construction equipment, hydraulic servicing and repairs to surface and underground drills (Ingersoll percussion, Boart Longyear core drill) JLG, Genie and Snorkel access equipment (Coateshire, Aggreko). Case and Bobcat materials handling equipment. Manitou, Clark, TCM and Toyota forklifts, Toyota 4WD mining vehicles. Set up and machine line-bores in steering, articulation and load frames on underground and surface mining machinery. Service and repair underground drilling equipment. Service and repair auto grease systems. Repair hydraulic pumps, valves and cylinders. Fit, commission, maintain and service fire suppression systems on a range of client equipment. Supervise the work of other mechanics; train and supervise apprentices.

Repairs and maintenance of hire equipment. Run-up, pre-hire and post-hire inspections.
