Led and managed the CPO and referencing data including the service of notices for the Phase 2a branch of HS2 in-line and complying with the High Speed Rail (West Midlands – Crewe) Act 2021 and utilising Part 1 of the Compulsory Purchase Act 1965. Overhauled the survey program for Phase 2a utilising a good enough approach on notices improving the contractors survey requirement timelines and input, also heavily reducing the number of notices served on any one party to help reduce workloads and improve the claimant experience. Managed 2 multi-million pound suppliers to ensure value for money was met and build those initial relationships to ensure the strategic suppliers were equipped and capable for delivering Phase 2a.

Responsible for overseeing of the CPO process and land take for Phase 2a. Co-ordinate the Integrated Possession Program within weekly stakeholder meetings. I oversaw the overhaul of our existing data into a new data-system for all our key data, made sure data integrity was maintained.

While working for TerraQuest I gained the opportunity to work for HS2 via a secondment. Joined the Utilities team within Land Assembly covering the whole Phase 1 route. My responsibilities include the quality control of data and referencing from the contractors, helping organize and run large stakeholder meetings, and assisting getting land acquired for the project using CPO powers, Land Rights, Wayleaves and Easements. My advance skills in Excel and Microsoft packages were quickly identified and thus given an additional sole role in improving, maintaining and creating spreadsheets, trackers and databases for the whole of land assembly. Managed several aspects of the department, managing and instructing the workload of our PSC contractors with an annual budget of £2 Million a year. An effective time manager evidenced by that I ensured the PSCs delivered the work on time and to the required quality for the project and returning my comments to them promptly. Ran and heavily contributed to large stakeholder and IPT meetings with project managers from various utility and construction companies.Won an award for my work on Phase 1 in Q1 2022.
