 Manage an accounting team of eight staff accountants to service over thirty diverse clients Supervise and review the preparation of financial statements for our clients on a monthly basis Oversee and manage five different payrolls for our clients, on various payroll platforms and periods Supervise the timely and accurate filing of sales tax returns, payroll tax returns, 1099’s, W-2’s, and other government mandated filings. Assist clients with budgeting and preparing financial reports for their grant proposals Hire and train new team members, and provide performance reviews to encourage improvement

 Specialize in audits/reviews of tax-exempt organizations Directly communicate with client management to obtain information, resolve engagement issues, and ensure that engagement proceeds as planned Perform audit/review of all areas of client’s accounting cycle/system using CaseWare audit software and draft the financial statements Perform analytical procedures on significant accounts, investigate all differences beyond expectations Draft audited, reviewed, and compiled financial statements Prepare reports on audit findings to those charged with governance, and provide recommendations based on findings to be applied moving forward

 Test financial statement accounts using GAAP and GAAS Improved financial statement preparation procedures by linking Excel and Word documents Perform audit of cash, revenue, accounts receivable, accounts payable, debt, and fixed assets using CCH ProSystem Engagement audit software Conduct inventory observations to test completeness and existence; prepare PBC (Provided by Client) lists and confirmation requests Perform substantive tests including examining journals, purchase orders, invoices, and fixed asset records Draft audited, reviewed, and compiled financial statements Prepare individual, fiduciary, partnership, corporate, and exempt organization Federal/State tax returns using CCH ProSystem Tax software Respond to IRS and NYS correspondence on behalf of clients
