IDEA stands for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action and is a relatively new committee at NIDA. Our goal is to make NIDA a more inclusive place for all races, genders, and ethnicities. We do this by educating NIDA faculty an taking action within the NIH to accomplish this mission.

In this position with NIDA, I sit on a board with my colleagues to discuss how NIDA can better their relationship with post-bacc’s in a variety of ways. We yield concerns from other post-bacc’s and communicate with our superiors on how to make NIDA a great environment for us to grow.
