I am currently a third year medical student at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. I’m interested in spinal cord morbidities/research and plan to pursue a career in academic neurosurgery. Overall, I am passionate about diversifying the medical field for the betterment of health in underserved populations, and will strive to make the healthcare industry more racially/ethnically equitable as a whole.A separate passion of mine is mentorship, and bringing experiences/knowledge to underserved youth in hopes of inspiring them to reach their potential. I pursue this as the Educational Outreach Coordinator for The Hero Project-Toledo, a non-profit agency that’s main goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of those influenced by drug addiction either directly or indirectly. Further, I am the Chair of Event Planning for Big Brothers and Big Sisters NWO. In this organization, we connect “Big”mentors with at-risk youth in order to form lasting relationships.
Listed skills include Research, Self Confidence, Neuroscience, Social Media, and 9 others.
