In this post I have held responsibilities for teaching courses in introductory statistics. The course covers methods introducing students to mathematical theory and applications, development of formulae, principles of statistical decision theory, descriptive measurements, probability concepts, random variables, normal distribution, inferential statistics,sampling distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, chi-squared procedures, linear regression, and the use of computers and R-programming in statistics.• Course Development, Full Course Instruction, Developed and Led Entire Course Labs in R

I work at the intersection of research in spatial and statistical analysis to assist in the development of user friendly software that leverages complex algorithms* I'm responsible for implementing algorithms and pseudo-code into high-quality performance tools and application components* Ensure a rich application user experience by testing individual functionality, user interfaces, and workflows* Convert real-world problems and questions into workflows and processes that can be implemented using ArcGIS* Contribute to the development of technical documents and learning materials for Insights users.

1. Design, conduct and support complex research studies and program evaluations; determine appropriate statistical methods; test and operationalize hypothesis regarding system issues.2. Data mining from disparate systems and integrating to a central database format to generate ongoing reports or conduct inquiries and studies.3. Collaborate with County Departments and other agencies to obtain data; work closely with research consultants to hone down data requests and analysis and convey results.4. Analyze and interpret data, identify findings and present them in visual and narrative formats that are understandable to practitioners.

Alongside the professional workmanship of San Bernardino County is the vision that ‘our job is to create a county in which those who reside and invest can prosper and achieve well-being.’ Research and Evaluation is aimed at fostering and promoting enhanced client care for each individual in the county today. In particular, as a business systems analyst it has been my responsibility to contribute to the following areas: data mining, original research, interdepartmental communication, outcome measures and analytics, contract compliance with performance outcomes, and clinical decision support. Furthermore, current interests in the county today lie in methods geared towards Bayesian modeling and predictive analytics within mental health systems.• Published in the 2017 Western Users of SAS Software proceedings on Integrating Health Data Sources to Identify, Stratify, and Predict High Users of Public Systems – this is a generalized linear model application.• Built the very first Whole Person Care Data Integration System with SAS that integrates San Bernardino County health information according to Department of Behavioral Health Assistant Deputy Director Sarah Eberhardt-Rios.• Implemented new evaluation procedures with the Chief of Behavioral Health Informatics , Josh Morgan, PsyD. to analyze program outcomes and mental health measures across San Bernardino for more than 2 years.• Built an entirely new theoretical system for creating reproducible research for county staff using R packages in combination with Knitr (an engine for dynamic report generation using R software).• Have developed and led SAS and R statistical programming and professional trainings for staff, research aids, and business system analysts for San Bernardino County.• Implemented new statistical procedures and data automation strategies in SAS and R to streamline annual performance improvement project analyses for San Bernardino County health programs meeting qualifications.

With the College of Allied Health I worked with Dr. Margaret N. Barth, Dr. Carothers, and Dr. Shasha Zhang we discovered new results pertaining to nutritional and Anthropometric data on Native American Adolescents regarding obesity. I have presented our findings at national conferences with statistical support; a brief and publication of our work can be found on-line under the title:Health Risk of Obesity in Native American Adolescents IJPHS 4.2 (2015): 94-101. Print. And Obesity Prevalence and Dietary Intake of Antioxidants in Native American Adolescents, IJPHS 5.3 (2016): 222-227. Print.• Processed nutritional and other health information for 2 years with department of nutrition at California Baptist University - these efforts led to a dual publication detailing our findings.• Published twice in the International Journal of Public Health Science on Health Riskof Obesity in Native American Adolescents IJPHS 4.2 (2015): 94-101. Print. And Obesity Prevalence and Dietary Intake of Antioxidants in Native American Adolescents, IJPHS5.3 (2016): 222-227.
