From 2013 to 2017 I worked as a Research Technician at the Health Sciences North Research Institute (HSNRI). While working at HSNRI I have performed many different tasks that include Western Blotting, Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and suspension and adherent cell culture. I was responsible for ordering and inventorying all materials for my lab group as well as carrying out vital experiments. I worked as part of a lung study which involved consenting patients for surgery, collecting patient samples from the Operating Room as well as working with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint for statistical analysis and data presentation. From May 2017 to September 2018 I was an employee at LifeLabs in Sudbury as a Lab Patient Technician. While working at LifeLabs I have performed many different tasks including Phlebotomy, Electrocardiograms (ECG’s) and biological specimen processing. Currently I am working in High Volume Chemistry at LifeLabs in Burnaby BC, as a Full-time Medical Laboratory Technologist. My main duties involve running our Roche Cobas and Abbott Architect and Alinity analyzers.
