Benjamin has been recognized for his 16 years of consistent track record in delivering shareholder value. As both an MBA and CPA, he was able to effectively apply his robust financial knowledge into in real life business situations, creatively and tactically managed large and diverse teams through complex business cases while continuing to exceed stakeholders' expectations.In the recent 12 years of career in the chemicals industry, Benjamin has been extensively involved in the spinoff of performance coatings business from E.I. DuPont, which was sold to private equity firm, Carlyle. In a short period of four months, the business unit was separated from the parent company and operated independently as a fully standalone entity, now known as Axalta.Benjamin stabilized the new business operations with new legal entity structures within Asia Pacific and ensured optimization of cashflows. A year later, Axalta was re-listed back to NYSE and Benjamin had to conform to new regulatory reporting and SOX requirements.Over the next decade, Benjamin held various regional roles from FP&A, Controllership to Treasury, partnered various cross-functional teams to accelerate business growth, executed various initiatives from price optimization, cost management, cashflow optimization and M&As, transforming Axalta from a 5% EBITDA margin business to highly profitable 16% EBITDA margin business today.Prior to joining Axalta, Benjamin was an audit Assistant Manager in KPMG US GAAP unit. He served various clients ranging from the manufacturing, trading, semiconductor to commodities industries and provided a range of services including US GAAP and SOX compliance, transfer pricing reviews, valuations and consolidations.As an astute and successful finance professional, Benjamin earned his MBA from National University of Singapore, and majored in Accountancy in Nanyang Technological University Singapore. He is also a certified public accountant with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accounts (ISCA).
