Working with a team of graduate students to design a scale model of a potential replacement for the T4 and T7 robotic systems. Our prototype is intended to confirm the viability of a novel locomotion method that has only been tested in simulation. This new locomotion method combines wheels and legs to provide optimal performance over smooth and rugged terrains.

Working with a team of graduate and Ph.D. students to design a quadrupedal robot for the Office of Naval Research capable of exploring the sea floor. I am a hardware design lead on this project, designing gearboxes for leg actuation, robot body, and sensor mounting structures. I have also taken on the role of a manufacturing engineer, ensuring that all components can be created with the tools at our disposal and within budget.
