I am thrilled to be working with alumni and parents and school leaders to create great investments in the students, faculty and community of New Hampton School.

I have enjoyed over 20 years of practicing law and working as a consultant and broker in the mergers and acquisitions field. I started practicing law for a New Hampshire firm in 1995. I later founded my own business transition consulting and brokerage firm, and started a new regional law practice related to business transitions. While the greater Boston area has been my home field for most of my career, I have had the good fortune to work as a consultant throughout New England and into New York, California, Texas and elsewhere.Though I find myself involved in a given transaction in a specific role as an attorney or consultant or broker, I have found that my job is really to build an effective team for my client and to manage the transaction. If I am working on the buyer side, I often assist with identifying and engaging: a lender or other financing option, an attorney, an accountant and other necessary professionals. I assist with due diligence, assess current employees and help the buyer plan strategically for a smooth transition. If I am working on the seller side, I often find that many of the seller’s professionals are already identified, but I also find that forming a team, creating effective communication and managing the transaction are still very necessary. In all cases, structuring a transaction with my client’s goals in mind is paramount, however, we attempt to treat all parties with respect and professionalism. I think my proudest moments are when some of the parties who were on the other side of the table when they purchased or bought into businesses 10 or 15 or 20 years ago now come to us to represent them as they plan their own exit strategies.
