Cukierman Investment HouseMy first student internship during my university period in shaky and extremely demanding Tel Aviv. For its marketing department, I was part of the team organising one of Israel's most prestigious conferences, the GO4Europe conference, held at the Hilton Tel-Aviv. I experienced first handedly how different cultures work together in an open space, ranging from French, Colombian, and of course Israeli. This internship gave my first taste in marketing a 5 star event. My responsibilities included preparing marketing tools (leaflets, booklets, web development), writing and delivering personal invitations to: National and International Presidents, Members of Parliament in Israel and the EU, Ambassadors and Consuls to the state of Israel and executive directors of non-governmental organisations such as the ECB, WTO,WorldBank, Bank of England and Federal Reserve. Another main task included selling sponsor packages to high profile multinationalcompanies such as to KPMG and TEVA Pharmaceuticals. I managed to gain experience in of-site face-to-face negotiating and over the phone sales. Moreover, the internship demanded perfect product knowledge. Developing these skills have proven very beneficial to my life as a real-estate broker.

During my many months at Antwerp's finest multi-brand luxury store I was introduced to the world of luxury retail, sales and organisation. The skills I learned ranged from product and inventory control all the way to international client management. By working in the front/sales part and the back/inventory part of the business I understood the need for timely inventory control and the need for sales efficiency on an international level. At many points my language skills came in handy. Having the ability to work with high demand clients, store customers as well as suppliers, enabled the ability on working successfully under pressure, thus increasing the flexibility and adapting to people's and organisation's needs.
