I am responsible for managing the Supply Chain operations processes involving raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory movements, production activities, and related information flow both internally within the organization and externally with our partners and customers.

I manage operations as part of the Feed Recovery Department with primary responsibility for Dryer House 5. Dryer House 5 consists of a large CGF Dryer and Waste Heat Evaporator. I manage 4 shift crews who operate the equipment, and I coordinate daily operational, maintenance, and electrical work within Dryer House 5 as well as other areas of the Feed Recovery Department as necessary.

Plant Shift Superintendent oversees daily plant production and coordinates rates between all the plant divisions.

I design, manage, and implement projects as well as provide production support for the Feed Recovery Division.

I gained valuable experience in batch processing for specialty food grade production. I worked on reformulating a product to use a different material supplier for procurement advantages. I also adjusted component target amounts in product blends to reduce component usage. I validated clean in place and clean out of place systems for a newly installed powder processing blending and packaging line.

Through my 5 session coop, I learned the corn wet milling ethanol process, managed many large and small engineering projects, and was able to help startup several new equipment installations. I helped commission and startup a new pressurized purification distillation system to reduce plant steam usage as well as a new de-sulfurization scrubber system to reduce sulfur dioxide emissions. I also worked in Operations during the start of a lockout in the Feed Recovery Division for 4 months.
