In this position I have gotten the opportunity to expand my set of skills to include SQL, Looker/LookML, Segment, and Git in the context of a Snowflake data environment. My duties have included preparing email campaign analyses for leadership, review and repair of existing dashboards and data visualization tools, expansion and refinement of our Looker architecture, prototyping of new web-traffic attribution tools, development of automated alert systems, and daily monitoring of business KPIs for anomalous activity in need of investigation.

In this position I have been entirely self-managed with regard to project prioritization and technical oversight. I have taken a more influential role in the development and execution of major projects and have coordinated the efforts of multiple disparate teams to complete complex work when timelines have become tight. Executive-level interest has been taken in the forecasting tools and processes that I developed as an Energy Engineer I and I have been working with our Business Intelligence team to develop a flexible, centralized version for implementation across a broader range of platforms and program designs.

After displaying a talent for building systems and processes aimed at long-term efficiency and the support of product management I was promoted to Energy Engineer I. One of my primary accomplishments in this position was to teach myself how to code in R and to use this knowledge to develop an automated forecasting tool (utilizing auto-regressive Monte-Carlo sampling methodology) that could provide instant baseline performance forecasts for key stakeholders to use in the bidding process for new and renewing contracts. This tool greatly improved forecast consistency and reliability and significantly reduced the time spent in the initial phases of opportunity evaluation.

At Ecova I acted as the primary technical support for Ecova's portfolio of midstream lighting utility-rebate programs. My duties in this position included, but were not limited to new and existing energy efficiency measure development, forecasting and business intelligence, opportunity evaluation, market research, internal system development, technical training for new program managers, and database IT support. One of my key accomplishments in this position was to spearhead the development and implementation of an automated data-management system that turned a multi-day product validation process involving at least one full-time engineering resource into an automatic background process requiring little to no regular engineering input. This automated system became a permanent fixture in the management of our midstream utility rebate programs and is still in use today (after two corporate acquisitions) by my current employer, CLEAResult.
