I have interned in Professor Donald Schaffner's food science lab working on the dining services project for several years. This includes going out on food audits to check local Rutgers food facilities checking if they are up to standards and testing food and bring samples back to the lab for testing. Working in the lab to perform various tests such as listeria testing, plate counts, CFU counts, and more. In addition to this includes the preparation of various growth mediums and distributing them. Along with this comes with glassware management and maintenance and the ability to use multiple tools and lab machinery.
