Structural Engineer
Current•Roles and Responsibilities: Analyze, develop, and design highway bridge components (both superstructure and substructure) primarily utilizing steel and concrete; prepare structural design calculations, plans and specifications; prepare structures related quantities for cost estimates, plans and reports; contribute to on site field inspection for collection and analysis of data to perform structural design projects; provide direction to CAD drafting personnel in preparing design drawings and specifications; conduct site inspection and investigative analysis toward completion of design; work in a team environment or solo. •Project Experience: Management Experience encompasses small to large transportation projects (Construction cost of sub $1m to greater than $100m.) Both as lead and lead support manager for various work experience clients listed below. Scheduling, tracking, and deliverable planning at various levels of project phases. Design experience is in both bridge replacement and rehabilitation, and bridge construction engineering support. Bridge replacement and rehabilitation design experience: steel girder, precast/prestressed staged concrete box girders, precast concrete Conspan arch units, substructure abutment and wingwall, excavation solider pile and lagging wall with interior bracing and tie backs; rehabilitation design for: bearing replacement, pedestrian bridge rehabilitation, rehabilitation on site inspection design, rehabilitation for historic sensitive structures. •Work Experience: Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Tollway Authority, Ohio Department of Transportation, Wisconsin Departemnt of Transportation, Illinois Counties, and other Local Agency
