About Benjamin Long
I am a development exec and producer working in unscripted TV. I came up in casting before making the jump to producing game shows, working on iconic formats like "Minute to Win It" and more niche ones like "Hellevator". I had just finished producing 150 episodes of the syndicated hit game show "Celebrity Name Game" when I received the opportunity to join Banijay Studios North America’s development team in 2016. My early achievements with the company include naming their hit game show "Child Support" and helping create and produce "Don’t", both for ABC. Serving as Director of Development for the past three years I produced a network pilot and saw several development deals through. During my tenure at BSNA I developed and oversaw the system of delivering the company’s projects for international distribution. While I will always have a soft spot for physical production, I have fallen in love with developing formats and kicking their tires is now one of my favorite things to do. Let's work together!
Listed skills include Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Filemaker, Microsoft Office, and 6 others.

Development & Programming Coordinator
Content Producer
I joined the team to create content for the end of season 2 and the first one hundred episodes of season 3. In addition to creating categories I was tasked with finding all of the images we used in the third round, coordinating with our graphic artist, quality checking each video, and submitting a usage tracking document for production.
Challenge Producer
I was brought in to help develop challenges for celebrities to play throughout the course of each episode. I wrote challenges, rules, created pitch packets and breakdowns for executives and the network, in addition to helping set up and run prototyping. On set I worked closely with the art department and culinary to ensure that everything we needed was expedited precisely and efficiently.
Challenge Producer
I joined the team at the beginning of the development process and helped develop challenges as well as themes for each episode. Throughout the show, and even during the shooting process, this involved pitching to the executives, writing rules, and working closely with the art department to make sure that it all came out perfectly.
Challenge Producer
I was brought on to help the producing team come up with, develop, and improve existing challenges for the show’s fifth season. I was also responsible for pitching these to both the production company and the network and implementing their notes.
Producer
I was brought on to the second season to develop new games and come up with challenges for the show. I was also involved with writing questions. I took it upon myself to create a Filemaker Pro Database for all of the questions, which improved and streamlined the whole process.
Associate Producer
I began this production working with our writers and managing their Filemaker database. I thentransitioned to the Prize Department, where I found and then procured items to use on the show. This involved negotiating prices with vendors, researching the history and writing host copy for each.
Segment Producer
In pre-production I was in charge of updating and re-cutting videos, which explained the rules of ourdifferent games to our audience. I was also in charge of coordinating and stacking prizes for each game and maintaining our prize budget. This required me to interface with our post-production team to get prize packages cut for studio. In studio I worked closely with CBS Electronics to ensure that game play was correct and went smoothly.
Associate Producer
I was brought on early in production to help develop challenges. Once the approval process was over I setup and oversaw testing. On set I worked closely with the art department to ensure that everything was in it’s right place. My othertask was working with Deko, finding and then providing them with the correct images for different challenges.
Associate Producer
Coming back to Killer Karaoke I helped develop existing challenges during testing and executed them forthe shoot. In testing I was responsible for procuring props, working with the art department, setting the challenges up andimplementing network notes. During the shoot I was responsible for overseeing the set up of challenges. I was also tasked withhiring and coordinating vendors for challenges, as well as making sure that the props and art departments knew what was neededfor upcoming challenges. I was able to think ahead and make our shoot days go smoothly.
Segment Producer
On this show I worked with a team to come up with and then execute challenges. This required a great dealof teamwork, coordinating builds with art, the ability to source and organize props, keeping track of scores for the different teamsthrough episodes.
