• Worked with many students on different subject material ranging from mathematics, including Algebra I, II, and Geometry, to scientific subject matter, such as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. • Facilitated students' understanding through discovering their areas of weakness and encouraging them to engage with the difficult subject matter, never simply telling them the answer, but always allowing them to come upon the answer from their own work and ideas.

• Facilitated students’ understanding of organic chemistry I and II by employing teaching methods to promote understanding of key concepts through identifying overarching difficulties in understanding as well as individual issues.• Assisted over 75 students in both individual and group settings, taking into account differences in personalities, learning styles, and needs in order to best benefit each student.

• Researched the inner ear utilizing functional differentiation of stem cells through various developmental stages towards both neurons and sensory hair cells of the inner ear. • Formulated hypotheses and generated appropriate experiments, requiring research into previous publications, application of pertinent information, performance of scientific techniques including RNA extraction, qPCR, immunohistochemistry, and imaging, along with the analysis and interpretation of results through statistical analysis. • Wrote a senior honors thesis and contributed to 4 different research papers (2 published, 2 in process); overall this research adds to the understanding of the inner ear and hearing loss, as well as adds to the body of knowledge surrounding the treatment of hearing loss.

• Led and organized over thirty people in participation in ice carving competitions, commissions, public events, and donations through interpersonal communication, organization, and by securing member commitments, while simultaneously teaching both carving techniques and safety requirements. • Managed the team with a business and sociable outlook facilitating the continuation of the team in both fiscal and membership areas, leading to the team’s 16th successful year.
