Hi! My name is Ben. I'm a freshman Music Education major at the College of Wooster (Wooster, OH). I have worked in a variety of settings, including churches, schools, soccer fields, and more.I have worked as an accompanist for multiple high schools and churches. Besides occasionally providing music for my church at home, I have accompanied high schools and churches back home and at college for musicals, concerts, and worship services.I have been a soccer referee since March 2016. Since then, I have officiated over 250 games at a variety of ages and skill levels, sometimes working as many as 5 in a weekend. This job has taught me the importance of communication and conflict management as my main job as the referee is to ensure a safe, fair, and fun experience for players.I have 10+ years of experience running tech at my church. I started in 2012 with running the soundboard and microphones for weekly worship and eventually became the supervisor of the volunteer Tech Team. In 2018, I helped get our livestreaming system up and running, and began teaching others to use it. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was formally hired to continue to prepare for and run livestreams every week, as the workload increased heavily with quarantine. During this time, I helped rebuild the audio/visual system and installed all new equipment, including a new soundboard, speakers, pan-tilt-zoom cameras, and a computer system. I left in 2021 to pursue other opportunities and enjoy my senior year of high school.
