Benjamin Lyke is a Geospatial Analyst - MethaneSAT science at Environmental Defense Fund. Colleagues describe him as "Ben worked on a short-term consulting project with us to produce several maps using census data and datasets from state agencies containing latitude and longitude information, or county-coded information. He came up with an efficient methodology for joining information from multiple large datasets from the state agency to be able to proceed with the analysis we needed for each location. He diligently worked through cleaning the data and made several calls to the agency to explore solutions for resolving invalid data and filling in missing data points. Throughout the project, Ben kept careful notes on his procedures and data sources used, and kept his work files well-organized in a shared folder that I could access. Ben was great to work with, always met deadlines, delivered clear and well-written information, and worked independently with minimal supervision. His data analysis and geospatial analysis were clear, the steps were transparent, and the results were meaningful. I would definitely work with Ben again, given the opportunity."
