Software tester for Extreme Networks SDN solutions and switch web interface. Tested Extreme SDN solutions around Openstack, Openflow, Opendaylight. Developed an automation system for testing the new web front end for Extreme switches. Built using Junit, selenium, Jenkins

Researched and documented numerous networking solutions that assisted technical support/sales with deployment/troubleshooting advice. Topics covered included: Data Center Bridging deployment guide with iSCSI (PFC, ETS, DCBX), Extreme Networks XNV, VEPA. Numerous Wireless Deployment guides for Extreme Networks Wireless 3000 series controllers/APs: Wireless Controller clustering, Radius Authentication for WLANs (Dot1x), Hotspot guidelines, Firewall considerations, Wireless Design guide for Voice, Ekahau RTLS deployment guidelines, Predictive/Passive site surveys with Air magnet. Automated New Hire Training (New TSEs) for Extreme Networks into a self-study online environment. Built labs that were repeatable and self-paced, done through scripting that interfaced with an L1 switch. Built the L2 training curriculum, automated it through use of virtualization.

As an Escalation Support Engineer, responsible for coaching and mentoring junior Support Engineers. Provided technical support for all Extreme products. Replicated and debugged software and hardware issues, worked with Engineering to correct defects. Assistednumerous customers through onsite engagements, provided design/deployment advice (Wired/Wireless).

Provided remedial technical support for all Extreme Networks products. Troubleshot and solved complex networking problems, assisted with high profile customer situations. Simulated and debugged product related issues (both software and hardware), provided workarounds to customers. Worked with various customers from around the world in the AMER, APAC and EMEA regions.

Responsible for the management and overview of four different Intrusion Detection Systems (Cisco, HIDS and NIDS, Fortinet, and Custom built threatsmart that used snort.). The systems were deployed at hundred’s of financial Institutions ranging from banks to credit unions. Assisted customers with Security related questions and firewall log analysis as well as responding to potentially bad traffic. Taking the appropriate steps to block malicious traffic before it impacted customers and communicating the scenario to them. Tasked with all documentation as well as training new Analysts.

Worked on hydraulic machines ranging from excavators to drill rigs. Assisted mechanics in the repair and service of machines as well as the cleaning and maintenance of them.

Assisted guests from hotels with their wireless troubleshooting. Gave excellent and prompt customer service over the phone. Troubleshot networking problems from routers, switches and servers. Responsible for answering the phone in a timely manner, and implementing a solution to the customer’s problem quickly and efficiently.
