• Operate the ash system for the coal fired G1/2 and G3 power plants• Duties includes:o Running lime slakers to ensure the flue gases have the SOx removed o Running control rooms to ensure ash conveyors are running as well as lime systems and ash filtering systemso Doing rounds to make sure all lubrication pumps, water pumps, pulverisers, hoppers, bag filters, ash and water piping are all running clean with no blockages or leaks to have maximum efficiency to protect the environment, power production and other employeeso Safely dealing with lime spills, ash spills, coal spills and steam or hot gas releases so no health repercussions are present for all employeeso Lock out tag outs for all systems• Deal with lime truck drivers to refill our silos• Do major troubleshooting on systems when a line or operation goes down or has a problem occur• Received training in WPS, Confined space, First aid, Fire fighting and emergency rescue• Worked the G3 Shutdown to convert unit to coal and gas fired power generation • Managed many maintenance crews to fix broken processes in the plant
