Atmospheric sensing research currently focused on developing and testing an Open-Path Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy Methane Sensor. I have worked on testing methane sensors for their reliability in different environmental conditions, as well as helped in designing and developing a PID controlled heater system to improve the sensor’s optical performance in colder temperatures. I am also conducting a variety of experiments to test the accuracy and stability of optical sensors while also improving their data acquisitions systems and fitting algorithms.

Hired and advised four Colorado State University undergraduate student teams participating in the Colorado Space Grant Robotics Challenge, Wearables Quest, and DemoSat programs.I provided guidance to each of the following NASA Space Grant Teams:-Two Robotics teams designed and developed an autonomous robot to test at the Great Sand Dunes National Park.-The Wearables team designed and created a glove that can map a temperature profile to LEDs and warn the user of extremely hot temperatures. -The DemoSat team developed a high-altitude balloon payload designed for testing and analyzing the upper atmosphere effects on bacteria. Ultimately, these programs were developed to challenge teams in learning about autonomation, electronics, programming, operation in extreme environments, and teamwork.

Taught a 300 level course lab in computer-aided engineering tools, finite element analysis, and computational fluid dynamics, in Ansys for analysis and prediction of robustness and performance of mechanical components and assemblies.

Physics research focusing on examining the precession of muons to test the Standard Model’s predictions of this commonly derived value.Through this research, I conducted vacuum leak rate tests on particle auxiliary detector systems, designed, developed, machined, and tested various prototype particle detectors, and created and modified software to communicate between microcontrollers and other equipment. Worked in groups with multiple g-2 collaborators to test designed particle detectors at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (Stanford University CA) and Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Batavia IL).
