I am responsible for analyzing pipeline efficiency, identifying anomalies in pump/motor performance, and recommending corrective actions to ensure safe, efficient, and cost effective pipeline operations. My internal customers include our, operations, commercial affairs, project implementation, and finance teams who rely on me to prepare various studies, analysis, plans and forecasts. I provide ownership, leadership, and drive innovation on the Advanced System Planning Model (ASPM) which is a hydraulic model of our pipeline system that optimizes operations based on pump/motor efficiency and real-time power costs across a dozens states with various utility/rate structures. I effectively manage and communicate demand response and self-curtailment events to all impacted groups internally and externally. I also support a variety of technology initiatives aimed at modernizing our data analytics framework and streamlining processes. Currently we are developing tools with data scientists to help model and optimize Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) distribution across the pipeline. We're also developing the framework to monitor pump/motor efficiency in real-time and detect anomalies or performance degradation across our entire footprint from Houston to New York, using machine learning models.

I was the Rotating Equipment SME on the Corporate Reliability Team. I devised the pump/rotor sparing strategy and managed our spares budget. I also was involved in a variety of projects to increase our condition monitoring and predictive analytics capabilities for our most critical assets. I represented Colonial on the PRCI Pump Station Technical Committee and networked/benchmarked with researchers, OEM's and other pipeline operators.

I supported our field locations including booster stations, injection facilities, tank farms and delivery locations regarding mechanical issues encountered across the 5,500 miles of pipeline. I also was a member of the corporate reliability team where my responsibilities include updating our maintenance schedules and procedures, maintaining our spare parts inventory, researching and upgrading measurement and detection systems and overseeing equipment installations.

I completed an honors thesis titled "Combustor Flow Field Characterization with Acoustic Forcing and Swirl Fluctuations," under the supervision of Dr. Jacqueline O'Connor. I also authored a paper which was selected for publication in the 2016 ASME International Turbo Exposition in Seoul, South Korea titled "Impact of Swirling Flow Structure on Shear Layer Vorticity Fluctuation Mechanisms," along with second author Samuel Hansford and third author Jacqueline O'Connor.
