I am a public speaker and advocate that focuses on mental health education and health insurance advocacy. As someone who experienced a psychotic episode, I had to learn through trial and error how to create systems to succeed in navigating the healthcare system. Without understanding the complexities of health insurance, I would have been unable to graduate from college, succeed in the workplace, and graduate with my Masters in Public Health concentrating on mental health. My main goal is to teach you how to successfully navigate the healthcare system. By doing so, you will experience financial freedom. If you are someone who is selecting an insurance plan for the first time at your job, is getting kicked out of your parents health insurance, or is just confused on what is covered with your health insurance, I can help. If you are confused and want to learn... What is a PPO? HMO? Deductible? Coinsurance vs Copay? I would like to assist you in your journey. Learning these skills has liberated me, and I know it will liberate you too! I pay less for my medication and other services. I am NOT a health insurance agent, so you can be confident that I wont steer you in a certain direction. I am just passionate in helping people advocate for their own physical and mental wellbeing.As a public speaker, I have over seven years of experience speaking and participating in panels with college students, doctoral students, high school students, people living with mental illness and substance use, healthcare professionals, nonprofit organizations, and faith communities. I have also been invited to speak at conferences.
