Company Profile:Ben's past experience in the construction field enhances his ability to thoughtfully draft and model plans today. A graduate of Penn State University's Civil Engineering program, Ben is always striving to hone processes and improve team communication. A Rutter's project in Boiling Springs had particular significance for Ben, who fished for trout with his grandfather in the nearby Yellow Breeches stream. Ben's team devised a pervious concrete filtering solution that would withstand the demands of the site while respecting the integrity of the nearby stream.My thoughts on Site Design & BIM: Drafting has progressed significantly with advancing technology. True modeling is now the standard for site design. I am highly skilled at and have a passion for creating advanced models of sites to integrate existing features and design concepts. I believe that advanced modeling is in fact the fastest means of drafting with the added benefits of dynamic design, greater accuracy, and visualization capabilities. It is exciting to interact with a model that is based in the real world and that you know will become a reality. More than just producing a plan that looks nice on paper, I am looking to build a complete design by pushing the technology to its greatest potential.
