In February of 2019 my father’s health declined to the point where he needed a full time caregiver to assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication, housekeeping. The following year my mother’s health declined and needed similar care. In the course of this work I: - Dramatically increased their quality of life in the face of debilitating health problems.- Frequently communicated with Doctors and their staff, Hospital personnel, Customer Service Representatives, Case Managers and Advocates of insurers like Cigna, Blue Cross, Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security to ensure all aspects of their care were at the highest possible level. - Achieved my goal of neither of them ever having to live in a long-term care facility.My mother passed away in December of 2021 and my father February of this year. Now this may part of my life may not seem like much to an employer, but this required immense dedication, organization, problem solving with serious consequences should I make a mistake, time management, and good communication skills via phone, text and in person. It also gave me insight into many aspects of the Healthcare field both as a provider, insurance team member and a patient. Skills that could translate well into any field.

Group M Engineers was a business started by my father David Mealer, providing IT and accounting services for small businesses and individuals. I began as an assistant to my father helping him set up networks and virus protection for small businesses, private homes and private schools many of which had more than two dozen computers on their network that needed to be maintained. Upon my graduation from High School in May of 2005 I was officially given the title of Customer Service Representative. As first point of contact for our clients and occasionally for prospective clients I was tasked with answering questions, scheduling service calls, creating tickets for our staff to establish billable hours, calculating fuel usage and processing payments. I also handled minor IT issues via phone, e-mail and chat. - Became proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Outlook. Remote Desktop software and Virtual Desktop Environments. - Promoted to Customer Service Lead in April 2011 and began handling business expenses and maintaining a database of clients and their hardware and software, making outbound calls to clients to offer them new products and services.- Frequently resolved customer calls with first-contact resolution.- My performance was a big reason why many of our long-time clients continued to use our services.- Streamlined customer contact and service protocols to greatly increase customer satisfaction.
