Current• Culture iPSC lines for cell banking and use in differentiation processes• Develop processes for differentiating iPSCs into multiple cell types including endothelial cells, cardiomyocytes, skeletal myoblasts, GABAergic neurons, dopaminergic neurons, motor neurons, photoreceptor precursor cells, and retinal pigmented epithelial cells• Develop cell purification strategies using MACS • Execute custom differentiations for iPSC cell lines as part of disease and diversity panels and customer specific custom projects• Scale up iPSC differentiation processes to manufacturing scale including the use of large format cell factories, bioreactors, in line filtration, CliniMACs cell sorting, and control rate freezers • Perform technical transfer of procedures from R&D to cGMP manufacturing and quality control teams• Identify areas of improvement in established processes and perform necessary experiments to implement process changes• Perform various cellular assays to characterize cell types including flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, and qPCR• Write technical documents including development reports, standard operating procedures, quality control procedures, and manufacturing procedures• Train and mentor junior team members in lab techniques, experimental design, and critical thinking
