My goal is to develop myself professionally while remaining a well-rounded individual. I work hard at my job to learn and develop my skills as a network engineer, learning my discipline as well as taking the time to learn others as well. My faith is the basis for my life, and directs how I interact with others, my work ethic, and priorities in life. On my own time, I enjoy rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, backpacking, fishing, ultimate frisbee, and disc golf. I use these things to keep myself in balance between work and enjoying life.I am an experienced Cisco Network Engineer, with a CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNP Voice, and CCNA Security certifications. I have experience working with Cisco ISR and ASR model routers, Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K, and Catalyst switches all the way up to the 6500 series. I have set up and worked with multi-context firewalls, and set up a redundant Cisco 5508 wireless system with restricted guest access. I also have experience with Citrix Netscaler SDX appliances with virtual VPX's. This includes Citrix Access Gateway integration with XenApp and XenDesktop, and extensive experience configuring and maintaining load balancing and Web Application Firewall (WAF) functions.
