As an architectural designer, I worked alongside our Director of Design and Project Architects to help design buildings that brought the vision of our clients to life. This type of work included site feasibility and code studies, massing exercises, design charrettes, entitlements, conceptual and photorealistic rendering production, client presentations, and ongoing design development, both conceptual and technical as necessary.As a Job Captain, I was responsible for assisting Project Architects and Managers in coordinating production teams to ensure that deadlines were met and projects were delivered profitably for our clients and our firm. From technical and BIM coordination to client and consultant management, my responsibilities varied on a daily basis. These responsibilities touched all phases of a project, with the main focus having been on construction document development, QA/QC, specifications, reviewing and responding to building department review comments, reviewing pay apps, shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFI’s, issuing addendums, ASI’s, CCD’s, etc.In addition to project work, I also served as Farnsworth Group's Architectural BIM Leader on the BIM Management team. In this role, my responsibilities were primarily to help develop and direct workflow standards, internal and external discipline collaboration efforts, Revit template development and coordination, Revit family content production and oversight, federated model coordination and clash detection, and assistance with Revit training for both new and existing employees. In this role, I also served on the Farnsworth Group architectural graphics standards committee.
