Summary Of Experience: Some of the highlights of this experience follow: * Adapted excel software analysis tools with macros to encode a worksheet and statistically analyze years of empirical data to determine and identify the environmental integrity of engineering practices in dredging of Savannah Harbor. Used engineering judgment along with collaboration withscientists and supervisor to produce a useable product. * Spot-checked all engineering areas of construction on assigned buildings pertaining to HVAC & plumbing, all areas of mechanical fire protections including fire/smoke sealing of walls/penetrations and fire dampers, included sprinkler system head spacing, piping supports, fire/smoke detection in rooms/ductwork. Assured compliance with developed technical documents from design.* Checked for interactions between electrical/mechanical analysis of controls and power* Posed constructive questioning and did inspection regarding code/standard compliance and made recommendations regarding possible ways the requirements could be satisfied.* Investigated and analyzed questionable construction. Contractor corrected as necessary. This includes abatement practices of ductwork, equipment sizing in design, spacing of hangers, fire units, insulation of ductwork and piping, installation of fire dampers and access* Questionable design analysis details on technical documents were noted, the contractor addressed and corrected as necessary. Such analysis and design details include the inclusion/exclusion of details in drawings/calculations/specifications all pertaining to codes, performance, construction and coordination between design drawings/calculations and control/electrical design.* Cross discipline inspection performed including partial electrical, partial concrete, and roofing inspections. Safety inspections performed.
