Principal Investigator of a DoD funded gyro-compassing Inertial Navigation System. Led the $13M development of a Micro Electro‐Mechanical Sensor ﴾MEMS﴿‐based gyro-compassing Inertial Navigation System (INS), directing all technical work on the program. Effort was three phases, executed over four years, culminating in the smallest gyro‐compassing INS in the world. The program included development of multiple new high‐performance MEMS gyroscopes and accelerometers, custom COTS and ASIC‐based readout electronics for these sensors, updated microprocessor board, custom miniaturized indexing motor, mechanical housings, sensor control software, and navigation software and algorithms. Oversaw all this development from start to end, leading a diverse cross‐functional team including sensor designers, electronics experts, mechanical engineers and navigation analysts from multiple Honeywell sites across the country.Principal Investigator/Program Manager, DoD funded computer vision aided navigation system development program, Led the $1.8M development of a vision‐aided navigation system for weapons applications. Set all program resources and budgets. Co‐developed novel technical approach that provides sensor‐agnostic operation and massive compression of the stored map. Due to successful integration with the prime contractor system and excellent performance in testing, Honeywell was selected to proceed to phase 2. Success on the program led to additional internal investment in preparation for transition of this technology to two future Honeywell products. This will technology will help differentiate Honeywell's Navigation and Sensor offerings in an increasingly competitive landscape.

I lead a diverse team of highly skilled engineers and research scientists, including navigation analysts, embedded systems specialists, optics and lidar experts and software engineers. I have grown this team from 9 members a few years ago to 20 today, with more growth expected. My responsibilities include navigation systems and lidar atmospheric sensing technology development and product transition, new business pursuits, product strategy, and personnel development. Our lidar team is a brand-new technical product team, built from the ground up to support Honeywell's new optical sensor product line. I am responsible for a strategy for navigation analyst development as well as the execution of a major new aircraft navigation system development contract, and new product introductions for multiple Honeywell business organizations.
