Duties consist of checking in members for classes, registering members for classes and events, selling memberships to prospective customers, operating the smoothie bar or retail shop if there are customers needing assistance, general clean up and closing of the building/gym at day end. I also answer any calls that come in and answer general questions customers may have.

Duties consisted of assisting the sales staff in making a sale, help managing and coordinating large wedding parties, coordinating large rental parties, creating stacks of shirts and tie combinations that accompany the suit or jacket being sold, measuring and fitting customers, operating the register, and preforming routine duties as necessary such as straightening the store. I would also make sales on my own if all other sales staff are currently working with another customer. I made it a point to help everyone who came through the doors to ensure they found something that suited their needs and made them feel great. I would also conduct routine phone calls to customers either following up with potential wedding party leads or informing customers that their shipped or tailored items are ready to be picked up.

I started on the floor crew moving furniture out of rooms so they could be buffed and waxed, putting the furniture back after the floors were finished. After two years I moved to buffing floors with other crew members and would help train the new hires on how to buff floors. As a high school floor crew leader, I selected and directed my floor crew of 3-5 to clear and buff the floors of the high school 5 days a week over a summer break.
