About Benjamin Monroe
After taking a statistics class in high school, I knew this was the way I could use numbers to derive insights into complex topics. I received two bachelor's degrees in statistics and economics from Iowa State University while on Iowa State's Division 1 wrestling team. During my undergraduate years at Iowa State University, I utilized my wrestling team's strength training data to see how the athletes were progressing throughout different parts of the year by applying mixed-effects models in R. I also performed population projections for residents from different demographics in West Des Moines Iowa for city officials. My R Markdown presentation showed tables and graphs that assisted city officials in planning. To expand my technical and professional knowledge of statistics and computer science, I joined the Master of Science in Analytics class of 2025. I plan to use the skills I have learned to provide factual solutions to any organization.
