As an avid hooper, I appreciate the importance of a great team. In all of my endeavors, I’m cognizant of the integrality of maintaining roles and systems to optimize outcomes and ensure success. On the basketball court, that’s locking up the opposing team’s best player on one end, and getting my teammates open in their spots on the other. I am a great team player as I prioritize team accomplishments over my own and understand that I win when we win and not the other way around. As a Real Estate Investor, in the greater Burlington area, I recognize the importance of each member of my team–whether they’re an agent, contractor, appraiser, or lender–and their significance in closing a successful deal. As a sales professional in the service industry, I know the success of the restaurant is a collaborative effort between the BOH and FOH staff since I cannot cook, serve, and “86 the calamari!” all at once! As a Senior at the University of Vermont, I understand my place in class is to spark debate by raising questions that serve to elevate the discussion thereby enhancing the learning environment for my peers and colleagues. In every aspect of my life, I find pleasure in working with others and striving together towards a common goal. I naturally assume a leadership role, yet I’m still willing to defer for the betterment of the team. I am a firm believer that common struggle brings people together more than common joy–I am happy to struggle with you, or specifically, fix-and-flip a duplex in Chittenden County!
