As progression from my previous job role as a bartender I became a duty supervisor. This role included being responsible for cash handling and banking at the end of the night, and being responsible for the building.In this role I lead my team by example, delegating tasks to staff while ensuring that I was also helping out as much as possible, after seeing to my own responsibilities.As the supervisor and being responsibility for the building I had to liaise with security on events to ensure they ran smoothly. The Student Hub, which housed The Deep End was a multi-million pound refurbishment of the swimming pool building on the university campus as a joint venture between the universities of Kent and Greenwich. I very much enjoyed working on the bar making interesting cocktails and shots. I enjoyed the way the role allowed me to progress my responsibilities while allowing me to continue the customer facing part of being a bartender. Customer complaints were directed towards myself to alleviate pressure from staff. All complaints were taken seriously and where possible i would try to give the customer the resolution they desired.

My particular interest in this role was making cocktails, as they are more impressive than simply serving a drink, they also require knowledge and some experimentation to give good results.This role included: Setting up the bar for daily use. Maintaining a clean working environment during and after a shift. Constant interaction with customers, whether taking orders or serving food. Busy night shifts required quick but correct service and working well under pressure. During my employment I worked as an influential member of bar staff being given key responsibilities at private functions and events. I also worked alongside the supervisor and management team to train new member of staff.

The role included: Setting up skiing and snowboarding equipment for customer use, The maintenance and repair of equipment, The maintenance of the ski slope, The operation of the Cresta toboggan run, Observing the ski slope ensuring all rules are followed and all activities are running safely.This job requires good interpersonal skills when communicating with customers and a good understanding of all aspects of snowsports.

During my GCSE studies I also completed a IMI level 2 qualification in vehicle fitting operations. To achieve this I completed 10 weeks of work experience over the course of 2 years. In this I would work with a fully trained mechanic mostly assisting on tasks but did also complete numerous services and other tasks alone that were then checked by the supervising mechanic. From this I learnt how to conduct tasks such as; services, changing tyres (including wheel balancing), the use of some electronic diagnostic software and numerous other things.
