SolarPack is a sustainable club at NC State. We are working on creating a solar electric vehicle to improve the future of transportation. We are focused on collaboration and my role is to facilitate that and review designs. I also work with sponsors to organize timelines that are feasible and effective.

This role requires me to collaborate with my team to design a new product. We started by coming up with 200 new ideas that we narrowed down to 50, then 15, then 5, then 1. I created designs for the top two ideas and then as a team we decided on the one we would focus on. We are now working on acquiring materials to make a working prototype of the product.

Worked through the DOE to improve the energy usage at various industrial facilities. To get an understanding of current energy usage we would assess their bills and then take a tour of the facility. After assessing the current usage, we would write out some recommendations and compile them into a report for the facility to review. It would then be left up to them to implement the recommendations.
