I was a veterinary assistant during summer and winter breaks throughout my time in college. During this time I was responsible for the restraint of animals during examination, preparation of vaccinations, medications, fecal and blood tests for patients. I collected preliminary information for the doctor and recorded patient weight and temperature. During my time here, I had to gain experience in communicating with clients in emotionally charged states.
