Sasone is the Kansas City Jewish community's program that works to ensure children with special needs and their families have support in accessing a Jewish education. The Teen Leadership Program is a program that Sasone runs that provides training to teen across the Jewish community that are interested in learning strategies relating to working with peers and/or students with special needs.

• Acted as the local chapter director of Kansas City USY -Tripled attendance at regional conventions. -Reinvigorated the program following a decrease of in-person engagement and leadership. -Acted as a mentor to teen leaders and participants in both formal and informal capacities.• Worked collaboratively with clergy, executive director, education director, preschool director, and lay leadership to create engaging family programs centered around Jewish holidays as well as community building.• Acted as an active member of the senior staff team that puts on large scale congregational programming.• Worked to establish relationships and partnerships throughout the larger Kansas City community, which gave teens and families far more opportunities in the variety and scale of programming offered.

"Generously funded by the Jim Joseph Foundation and built on the success of the Generation Now Fellowship and the FindYourSummer.org program, the GENERATE fellowship is a one year fellowship experience to provide early career teen engagement professionals (0-3 years of experience) working in the Jewish community with the tools, skills and knowledge to become better mentors for their teens."

• Oversaw a variety of student groups including First Year Students of Hillel, Mitzvah Corps, Challah for Hunger, and Yad B’Yad student mentorship program.• Envisioned and created the Indiana Hillel Antisemitism Prevention Task Force and grew it into an interfaith collation that works in partnership with campus leaders.• Collaborated with, energized, and empowered student leaders that served both in formal and informal leadership roles.• Was Responsible for all holiday programming including working with service leaders to create an engaging and diverse weekly Shabbat service. • Facilitated the Jewish Learning Fellowship for Indiana Hillel and taught courses for academic credit through the Jewish studies department of the university. • Mentored and managed a diverse team of student interns and leaders.

• Leads the Jewish studies portion of the camp’s curriculum through either direct instruction to campers or coaching counselors in leading Jewish studies activities. • Takes an active role in training and mentoring the counseling staff.• Assists in mediating conflicts between either counseling staff members, campers, or counseling staff members and campers.

• Took primary leadership of the Jewish studies portion of the camp’s curriculum through direct instruction to campers.• Led a Chuggim that was focused on creating a short movie that was about Jewish themes.

• Acted as a think tank for the Executive Director focusing on macrolevel strategy for the organization. • Represented the student voice at KU Hillel and was highly invested in the success of the organization.• Actively participated in weekly strategizing meetings with Executive Director.

• Taught second-graders in general Jewish religious programming and fourth-graders in Hebrew language acquisition. • Wrote, organized, and implemented lesson plans and objectives that created a positive and educational classroom environment for students.• Managed classroom, behavior, and time management within the classroom• Communicated appropriate information to families of students• Mentored and trained high school-aged classroom assistants to ensure they were able to gain information and grow as leaders.• Created resources that helped the students learn best.• Made alternate resources for individual students as needed to best match their current Hebrew abilities.

• Served as one of twelve team members chosen from across North America as the primary college leaders for the Reform movement.• Partnered with URJ staff and lay leaders to strengthen Reform Jewish life on college campuses across the continent. • Attended a leadership retreat in Washington DC and participated in weekly meetings via Zoom to strategize and work on projects.• Developed an online reform Jewish community through the creation of a Facebook group, which has more than 600 members currently. • Collected and analyzed hundreds of responses to surveys from reform college students across North America to better understand what they were looking for Jewishly in their college experience.• Created an ambassador program called “LINKS”, which aimed to connect reform college students either on college campuses or in close geographic areas.• Planned and led Shabbat and Havdalah services over Zoom as the COVID-19 pandemic saw many students quarantined and seeking a Jewish Shabbat experience from their homes.

• Met with students that were either currently engaged with or had the potential to be engaged with KU Hillel through the use of 1-on-1 or small group informal meetings.• Attended events with the intention of creating relationships that would encourage students to be more actively engaged with KU Hillel. • Developed a network of students and communicated with them about upcoming events as well as Jewish life on campus.

• Envisioned, developed, and hosted Israel-themed events such as a series of Israeli cooking classes on campus for both the internal Jewish community as well as external campus-wide community. • Planned reunions for the 2019 KU Hillel Birthright Israel cohort. • Worked together to co-sponsor Israel-focused events with other student organizations on campus.

• Was a participant in the summer internship program, “Leadership Tomorrow”, which is a full-time internship that places Jewish college students with Jewish non-profit organizations in the Kansas City area.• Placed with The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah’s educational staff, where the primary focus of the summer was being tasked with evaluating multiple sets of religious school curriculum and consolidating and synthesizing them into one distinct curriculum to be used in the religious school.• Took part in weekly leadership development days, which taught skills such as networking, interview techniques, professionalism in the workplace, and grant-writing.• Wrote and presented a grant for the non-profit organization “Kids TLC”, earning them a $5,000 grant.

• Worked one-on-one with a special needs student to help him integrate and participate in the classroom setting.• Altered the lesson plan to create a more comfortable learning experience.
