Adjunct instructor at University of Minnesota College of Design responsible for teaching, researching, and developing the curriculum for several design courses:History Elective - Graduate - Master of Architecture: “The American Starter Home” surveys a century of homeownership via the history of the detached single family home. We chronicle the emergence and disappearance of this housing typology in the context of today’s affordable housing shortage and housing affordability crisis.Workshop - Undergraduate - Bachelor of Design in Architecture: “Stage Design for Theater and Opera” introduces basic approaches to set design including script/score analysis, story interpretation, visual research, conceptualization, modeling/rendering, drafting, and production.

Manage the predevelopment process for our single family home products including the due diligence, design administration, permitting, and construction documentation phases for each project. Initiate new development partnerships and support existing partners. Advocate for policies and programs that promote the creation of new entry-level affordable housing stock. Strategize construction and business innovation opportunities. 30 homes built to date

Design stage sets for professional theatrical, musical, and opera productions with companies such as Asolo Repertory Theater, Theater Latte Da, Minnesota Opera, Jungle Theater, and Park Square Theater. Worked with a variety of theater programs and companies as freelance designer, technician, carpenter, painter, and teaching artist. Upcoming: “The Effect" (Jungle Theater); "Between Riverside and Crazy" (Park Square Theater).

Co-led an award-winning architectural design practice. From research driven investigations to realized designs, the office invested creative energy in built and theoretical projects ranging from a replicable single family house system, narrow-format infill house prototype, and scale-tested affordable housing details. Winner: AIA-MN Affordable Housing Design Award (2022); AIA-MN Commendation in Design for Economy (2023)

Led design on five custom residential new construction projects including a sprawling residence on Cape Cod for a high profile client and the design and prototyping of a volumetric modular cabin product on Washington Island. Managed all aspects of design, consulting, documentation, specification, and construction administration
