Accurx is a leading healthcare communication platform with a vision that anyone involved in a patient's care can communicate with each other.Established in 2016, and after initial growth supporting a £27.5m Series B, Accurx has scaled quickly to be adopted in over 98% of GP practices, who use them to communicate with their patients. Accurx has an exciting roadmap ahead to deliver more value to general practice and grow our adoption in other care settings including hospitals, district nursing & pharmacies.---Joined Accurx as the first full-time employee in Nov 2016, working with the 2 founders (CEO & CTO) to iterate on initial Product ideas and grow out a small team. Discovering a significant market gap in Clinician to Patient digital communication, we pivoted to focus entirely on that from 2018.On seeing User adoption grow, and raising our Series A, we scaled up the team and accelerated Product development into the communication space.By mid 2021 we had over 90% adoption in GP practices, and were break-even having begun generating revenue.On taking a 27.5m Series B, we could further accelerate hiring & Product Development, expanding our Product into a wider range of workflows (messaging, surveys, patient triage, appointment reminders, clinician-to-clinician messaging...).I stepped up to CTO in 2022, as the company grew to 250 people, overseeing all technical leadership at Accurx.As of summer 2024, we had restored profitability, and were seeing exciting adoption growth outside of general practice in other care settings.
