I have just completed my master's degree in computer science at Merrimack College with a focus on software engineering. Prior to that I also completed several online courses and certifications and now am comfortable in programming languages like Python and C++, and familiar with various topics including data structures and algorithms, software design and documentation, database principles, and APIs.I am passionate about connecting my prior endeavors and experiences in music with my programming work. I have a DMA in music composition from the New England Conservatory and have taught music theory and composition at MIT and Boston College, incorporating relevant topics from math and physics and using music apps and software for concept demonstration. I am an accomplished composer with expertise in music-related software, looking for opportunities to apply my skills and knowledge in a programming environment.On the side, as a Veteran Professional Tutor at Summit Educational Group, I have been helping high-school and middle-school students achieve their academic and test goals for over 10 years. I specialize in calculus, physics, statistics, and corresponding AP classes, as well as standardized test preparation. I customize curricula to meet each student's individual needs and create and test new content for tutoring course books and practice tests.
