The key accountabilities within this role include:- The performance of a range of analytical, diagnostic and technical investigations and tests within the laboratory in accordance with documented protocols, processes and procedures to deliver accurate and precise results.- Participation in a range of laboratory activities including accuracy in activities such as: receiving, unpacking, sorting, storage, transport and disposal of specimens; data entry tasks; preparation, monitoring and storage of reagents and assisting with stock control and ordering.- Understanding, monitoring, managing and interpreting QC results and problems.- Application of technical judgement in the analysis of patient specimens leading to the verification and validation of test results and the provision of technical education and advice within the team. - Maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment to ensure efficient and accurate operation.- Liaising with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in order to provide a proactive customer service that is supportive of NSWHP operations.

This position entails a broad spectrum of pre analytical and post analytical functions of the Pathology service. The range of duties that may be allocated include specimen collection by venepuncture, specimen management, computer data entry, couriering specimens, report management and some laboratory procedures of a technical nature.

Product delivery, customer service, cash exchange and handling, financial coordination and interpersonal communication.

General IT duties and the implementation and management of social media advertisement platforms using the following mediums: - Sound Cloud - Twitter - Youtube - Facebook
