This results in many people catching waterborne diseases which leads to many premature deaths and easily avoidable suffering. In this project my partners, Clifford Hale and Thinh Duong and I built and tested a solar powered portable water purification system that used flocculation and coagulation to remove turbidity from water and then passed the water over a UV light for disinfection. I was responsible for building the control circuitry that could both charge the batteries and control power flow to the motors.
