I am a passionate facilitator for the use of Bicycles, enabling individuals to build a life long relationship with their Bike which in turn provides a healthier, environmentally sensitive lifestyle. I am a semi retired International Athlete, (retired as National Champion BC 4X MTB) and use my skills and achievements to inspire the people I teach, coach, guide and photograph. From guiding Helicopter Mountain Bike Tours in New Zealand to teaching in a diverse range of schools and neighborhoods, I have brought my passion to, inspired and taught thousands of people how to ride a Bike in a more aware, safe yet fun and skillful manner. My portfolio of skills are greatly enhanced by the variety of extra curricular jobs and experiences I have had due to the seasonal weather dependent nature of the industry and my desire to ride my bike all over the World before I was 40. I have owned two business's, firstly as a Consultant to Local Authorities for the implementation of alternative sporting facilities and hands on Manager of a small team of facility builders on appropriate projects. Secondly I ran a small successful photography and graphic design business that gave me the freedom to choose projects and still work as a MTB guide and competitor. I also chose two other professions due to the creativity, freedom and flexibility they offered me. Firstly as a barman/barista, developed from University days through to running a Sunday night relaxed vibe, music based licensed coffee shop in Queenstown New Zealand. Secondly, developing from my enjoyment of building facilities for off road cycling, I worked on various Landscaping/Gardening Projects in New Zealand. I have learnt many internationally varied skills from the teams I have worked with both where I have been the manager and also as simply an employee.
