I love connecting the power of technology with the creativity and wisdom of people to solve complex and important problems. The foundation of my career is in IT support at The University of Chicago, where I learned first hand about the crucial role that reliable, user-friendly, and effective technology plays in cutting edge research. While developing my skills in information technology and technical customer support, I was simultaneously pursuing a degree in Computer Science - combining my knack for technology and human-centered problem solving with academic rigor and software development skills. Following my graduation from The University of Chicago in 2016, I joined the data team at Chicago International Charter School, where I lead the effort to design and build a cloud-based data warehouse - the backbone of a data infrastructure that informs the decisions of hundreds of public educators. In May of 2018, I joined the Center for Translational Data Science at The University of Chicago as a Software Engineer. While at CTDS, I worked on developing software to support the Center's data commons - technology being used to power health research around the world. I worked on both back-end systems (authentication and authorization, cloud services integration) and front-end applications.In December of 2019 I began working at the Center for Health Decision Science where I support a number of health related research projects with research application development, technical support, and ad-hoc programming solutions.
