Current• Conducting research into hydrodeoxygenation of biomass‑derived precursor molecules for the production of sustainable aviation fuel as part of the Biorenewables team at JMTC, directly contributing to technology focusing on fuel decarbonisation. • Independently led the direction of the project by conducting a thorough literature review to identify potential catalysts and promoters.• Sourced and synthesised catalysts before evaluating their activity and optimising reaction conditions using a Design of Experiments in JMP Pro.• Developed a gas chromatography method and calibration for the analysis of reaction products, adapting to overcome equipment limitations, with key analytical findings presented in reports and presentations.• Organised and conducted various health and safety projects such as spill kit and equipment store‑room audits, feeding back results within team meetings.• Driving my personal progression by organising discussions with mentors to push myself to my full potential and identify challenging professional opportunities.
