-Perform tasks related to the operation, servicing, troubleshooting, deployment and administration of Citrix XenApp 6.x, 7.x and Citrix XenDesktop 7.x technologies.-Windows server and desktop optimizations for virtualized applications and desktops through citrix and group policies.-Assist, as requested, with the evaluation of technical solutions based on requirements, ranging from group to enterprise wide deployments

Responsibilities include the continuity, compatibility, and OS level security of all desktops and servers under the control of Bon Secours Virginia IT. Collaborate with BSHSI-wide IS resources to assist the development of best practices for server/systems integrity .-Works in conjunction with the System Engineers on the development and design, builds, tests, and deploys server template standards for all areas within Bon Secours Virginia using a combination of MS GPO and other software testing and deployment tools.-Perform system administrator functions in Active Directory for BSV users, computers, and servers. -Work to include but not limited to user and computer creation/policies, MS Exchange administration, and DHCP scope configuration.-Provide backup and restore services, leveraging Symantec Netbackup, for all BSV IS systems.

Functions as one of the primary contacts between the Information Services department and the Bon Secours Virginia (BSV) local system customers on matters involving network and technology related problems and/or requests. This position includes all of the duties and responsibilities of an IT Support Specialist with the addition of:-Serves as a tier 3 to IT Desktop Specialist and acts as liaison with Network Engineers, System Administrators and Telecommunication Engineers.-The Senior IT Desktop Specialist will be expected to research issues, escalate and route IT related tasks to the appropriate teams.-Works with a high degree of independence and serves as a productive team member on projects and may serve as project lead.

Functions as one of the primary contacts between the Information Services department and the Bon Secours Virginia (BSV) local system customers on matters involving network and technology related problems and/or requests.-Provides service as defined in the BSHSI Service Level Agreement and demonstrates collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.-Communicates with customers throughout the troubleshooting process or outage scenario until issue has been resolved using available methods such as ticketing system, email and phone.-Maintains accurate documentation for all devices consistent with BSHSI documentation policies including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Asset Tracking and service ticketing systems.-Analyzes and resolves network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the BSHSI Service Level Agreement.

Functions as a network engineer for Norfolk Public Schools. The District consists of sixty one different sites, locally managed by 25 engineers.-Manage network accounts, implement workstation policies, and create applications packages for more efficient and less time consuming installation or execution of software.-Responsible for multiple site workstations, laptops, printers and other network and technology devices as well as the upkeep and repair.-Served as an advisor between staff and technical needs. These duties include recommending upgrades on current technology, suggesting new technology, and outline the benefits and/or drawbacks of any purchase.

First level PC technician as well as customer support roles.-Worked one on one with executives and directors within the company to resolve various computer related problems-Respond to the customer's problem and convey a resolution either by resolving it or escalating it to the next level of support.-Documented resolutions for future reference.-Troubleshot and determined the source of computer problems (hardware, software, user access, etc.).
